Whangarei Film Society - screenings for Thursday August 1st

On Thursday the 1st August at 6pm, WFS will be screening the delicious French film with Juliet Binoche, The Taste of Things.
Our 8pm screening is the powerful and inspiring film, Joika which was made by Kiwi writer/director, James Napier Robertson.

Set in 1885, Juliette Binoche is Eugénie, a cook whose talents are unmatched and much sought after. Benoît Magimel is Dodin, a lover of fine food. With their talents combined, they set themselves the challenge of preparing a dinner for a visiting prince.
But their culinary collaboration transcends the kitchen, evolving into a deep friendship. The Taste of Things not only celebrates French cuisine but also underscores the devotion, care, and time it demands.
