Great gift ideas for Christmas
Christmas Day is this Sunday, so pickup a wonderful second hand gift from Kilbirnie Red Cross!
Our Christmas hours are:
24th December: open 10am to 2pm
25th to the 27th December inclusive: Closed
28th to 31st December: open 10am to 2pm
1st January to 3rd January inclusive: closed
Normal hours resume on the 4th of January.

Poll: Is it rude to take a full trolley to self-checkout?
Luckily self-checkout is pretty common in supermarkets these days and we generally use it to quickly buy a few things without the long lines. But perhaps it's appropriate to head there with your full trolley to skip the lines?

Shocking anti-Māori propaganda posted in mailboxes
I am a Māori and today I found some shocking anti-Māori propaganda which had been obviously hand delivered into my mailbox. It was a call to action and as the neice of the late Moana Jackson and Syd Jackson, two intelligent and educated Māori leaders I am appalled to think that someone in my Island Bay neighbourhood is helping to spread these hateful messages.
