Our lovely cat needs a new home for christmas
My partner and I are moving to the UK in the new year for work, and unfortunately Mo the cat can't come. He is a gorgeous and lovely boy, 7-8 years old and in very good health. He takes a little while to settle in a new place and get used to new people, but when he does he really rewards. Very affectionate when he wants to be, able to entertain himself without fuss for a few days if you're not around. He enjoys company and will quickly become attached to the person who is most often around.
Special skills: belly rubs, rotormotor purring, sitting on available laps while you work, keeping sick people company, sleeping in late on weekends, chasing ribbons as though he is far younger than he is.
Special considerations: he is terrified of other cats and so should probably be an only pet. While he is generally a gentle cat, he does occasionally scratch or bite when touched in a way he doesn't like (children will need to be able to be gentle with him). He will need a litter tray when he first moves, while he settles.
Please get in touch. You are most welcome to come and meet him.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.

The Hikoi on Tuesday 19th
I copied this from a Facebook page: The expected route of the hīkoi on Tuesday is from Takapuwahia Maree in Esldon towards Porirua and along Kenepuru Drive to Tawa, then up Middleton Road to Johnsonville, down Ngaraunga George and along the old Hutt Road to Wellington. They are anticipating significant congestion on the roads between 06.00am and 12.30pm.
