Do you like pitching your skills against the Governess on Chase, or the other quizmasters? Come and join a friendly quiz night at the Christchurch Casino on Sunday 16 September, 6.30pm for 7pm sharp start. The Zonta Club of Waimakariri is joining with another Christchurch Zonta Club to raise much needed funds for the Canterbury Zonta Tertiary Education Trust, which provides scholarships for women returning to the workforce. The original monies were raised for the Trust by the first Celebrity Debates held in Christchurch at the Town Hall many years ago, and these now need topping up. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
