Coppercrest Retirement Village

Nardene from Pyes Pa

I would like to express my thanks and share an amazing gift I was given. I live near the retirement village and they have been building over the past few months. Although this has meant more traffic and noise, personally for me it hasnt been a problem. However the manager turned up at my door today and blew my mind. Not only did they give me a gift of appreciation for putting up with this (like I said, no problem) but rather than a token gift, they actually gave me a huge gift basket with all sorts of goodies. Totally blew me away that a company not only wanted to say thank you but went above and beyond. I would expect that if this is how the people within the village are treated then they must all be pretty happy about their living enviroment. So this is my shout out to you, thank you, you truly made my day :)

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
