Public meeting on new housing rules
Hi neighbours
Warkworth residents are invited to a public meeting at the Town Hall this Saturday to find out how new housing rules will affect the area.
Central Warkworth will be among the majority of Auckland suburbs that will be rezoned as 'mixed housing urban', allowing for up to three dwellings of three storeys without resource consent.
Rodney ward councillor Greg Sayers is hosting the meeting.
Sayers said he was concerned that the new 'medium density standards' did not take into account infrastructure constraints or large developments already planned.
He invited residents to "come along to find out more and help save Warkworth".
The meeting will start at 10am, this Saturday, June 18, at the Warkworth Town Hall.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
