Liquor License application
Is everyone aware that an application for a Bottle Store at the shops on Discovery Drive has been applied for? It will be selling alcohol Mon to Sun 9am-10pm. Is this what you want for your community? We have a 2 churches, the library, the Plunket rooms and the children's playground all within spitting distance. That is not to mention hairdresser and the gym patrons. You have until 13 Dec to object.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
