New Citizens Advice Bureau for Porirua East
The low levels of car ownership in eastern Porirua have prompted the Porirua City Council to launch a new Citizens Advice Bureau.
The 219 Bedford St location had been chosen for its convenience for residents in Cannons Creek and Waitangirua. The bureau would be close to local shops and amenities like health centres, blood testing facilities and the Cannons Creek Medical Centre pharmacy.
Anyone who walked through its doors could receive free, confidential and independent information on their rights and advice and support to help them get the best outcomes.
