Santa’s Workshop returns this year at the City Library with a whole new set of workshops on offer to help you make your very own Christmas gifts. Starting Monday 17 December each day until Friday 21 December, attend as many workshops as you like!

All the workshops are free and all materials are provided. Crafts are appropriate for all ages. Give the gift of hand-made with love this Christmas. 17-21 December, Ground Floor, Central Library, 11am-3pm (except Friday 9.30am-12pm). Find out more!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
