CHARITY BOOK COLLECTION AND SALE
The Bell Block & Districts Lions Club are planning a Charity Book sale on the 22nd of June 2019 at the Fred Tucker Memorial Community Centre, Bell Block.
The big blue container shown below is situated in the parking area outside the centre off Parklands Avenue is the collection point for those of you who wish to donate you excess books. There is a slot in the door for you to insert these. If you have a large quantity of books to donate, please feel free to call Stan on 758 7352 or Barrie on 757 8890 to arrange a pick up or delivery time.
Proceeds from the sale of these books will go towards supporting Community projects in your area. Keep the 22nd of June free to come and buy your next lot of reading material at very reasonable prices.
There’s still time to clean out those excess books from your cupboards and shelves and to donate to this worthy cause.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
