U3A General Meeting
Next General meeting October Wednesday 14th 1,30pm Brooklands Church Bideford St
Guest Speaker Trish Rankin , NZ Dairy Woman of the Year 2019 and recent Kellogg Rural Leaders Scholar will paint the picture as to why NZ is the possible to the 'impossible' customer. The consumers that buy alternative plant based protein want better outcomes for their health, planet and animals, NZ is in a prime position to achieve this. Trish will also discuss the concept of Circular Economy, the journey NZ is taking on this and how she is applying it to the rural sector. Hope to see you all along……lockdowns permitting!
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
