Volunteers & Donations
🌟 Attention, wonderful community! 🌟
Kia ora,
Just a quick update from our store: we'll be taking a short break on Sunday 28th and Monday 29th of January for Nelson Anniversary. Fear not, though – we'll be back in action at 9 am on Tuesday 30th, eager to welcome you back!
On another note, we're on the lookout for more incredible volunteers to join our dedicated team on Friday and Saturday afternoons (1:30 pm - 5:00 pm). If you're interested, give us a call at 03 544 4956 – we'd love to have you on board.
Also, we're in need of donations! If you have any Furniture, Homewares, Electrical items, or Winter Clothing to spare, drop them off during our opening hours. Alternatively, take advantage of our FREE collection service and schedule a pickup with our amazing team from Monday to Friday.
Your support means the world to us!
Kindly,
Penni

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
-
84.4% Yes

14.1% No

1.5% Other - I'll share below
What's your favourite recipe for courgettes?
Kia ora neighbours. If you've got a family recipe for courgettes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our January 2025 issue.
