🙋‍♀️Citizens Advice Bureau is opening in Richmond!

Come and see us at our newly established office in Richmond!
We will operate from Tasman District Council on Queen Street every Thursday from 10am till 1pm, no appointment needed.
You will find us in a small office in the service area - just look for the signage ➡️.

And what our volunteers can actually help you with?

✅We give FREE, confidential, independent information, advice and support.
✅We use our knowledge of services and communities to help people to help themselves.
✅We make sure clients know and understand their rights and obligations.
✅We work for positive social change within communities and wider society.
✅There is no time pressure - we take the time to really listen.
✅Everybody is welcomed and no one is judged!
✅We offer a universal service … you can ask us about any issue 😊.

We are looking forward to seeing you and offer our help!

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
