Eskdale Park Meeting
A proposal has been put forth to develop the Eskdale Park into a mountain bike hub with further future plans of development. This will take the direction of the Eskdale Park away from being the beautiful peaceful country park it is currently and away from the original intention of the park. There has been a lot of support from the community to keep Eskdale Park as a natural reserve. Now is the time for us to show this support to the council.
HDC is holding a public meeting on Wednesday, Sept 9th from 6 pm until 8 pm at the Hukarere Girls College located at 17 Shaw Road, Eskdale.
Please come and show your support for keeping Eskdale Park as a undeveloped reserve. It is vital that we make it clear to the council that we want the park left as a safe green family friendly park. The park has such a rich history and is loved by so many people. It is worth protecting and keeping safe for future generations to enjoy.
I can help organize carpools or rides if people wish. Please reach out to me if you need a ride or would like to carpool or if you would like to help in any way. Together we will protect the Eskdale Park.
There is also an online petition you can sign to keep Eskdale Park as an undeveloped reserve. Here is the link for the petition if you would like to sign it. Thank you!
