Chorus don't care!
I live close to the Tutaekuri, and we had the river mud creeping onto my section during Cyclone Gabrielle. I made an effort to clean my front of section up, only to have CHORUS use it as a parking area after the last heavy weekend of rain. This is what they had to say:
Hi Lara, Thankyou for contacting Chorus.
We apologise if they have created any mess, however as the work being done was on council owned land the technicians do have full access rights to work on the fibre network. That being said, they are responsible for reinstatements for the area but are allowed up to 2 weeks for the reinstatement to be completed. If the reinstatement of the area after this period is unsatisfactory then unfortunately, as it is council owned land, only the council would be able to take any action for this against the technicians.
Kind Regards,
Mark

I think, under the circumstances, perhaps CHORUS can park on the road side, or be responsible for what they deface....like the rest of us are.
