Residential Permaculture Project looking for a few young adults and adults
Kia ora everyone. Our family is working with noted NZ Permaculture gardening expert, Louise Phillips, to establish a Permaculture based section in Napier South. We are looking for several young people and adults that are interested in learning about gardening in harmony with Nature. Diverse learning opportunities will include computer work, finding alternative applications (medicinal and culinary) for a variety of plants, learning basic gardening principals. Experience not necessary, but a passionate or budding interest in the Natural world is plus the desire to learn about systems that foster the bees, butterflys, birds, earthworms, etc. (this is a must). In a precarious age when communities need to build resilience, this is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to participate with others either remotely, or on site and to build independence skills.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
