Held from the 11th-17th September, Māori Language week gives us a chance to celebrate our beautiful national language. Maybe you'll be celebrating by watching the Toku Reo videos and using Te Aka (Maōri Dictionary) to improve your knowledge, or maybe you've found a buddy for the week that will only kōrero in te reo with you. Wellington region users says increases to public transport fares of more than 70 percent would be "ludicrous", and would lead to them working from home more often, or taking the car rather than the bus.
