Capital E’s Festival Has Launched!
New Zealand’s biggest arts festival for children has started! From now until 25 March you and your family will experience some of the coolest performance acts made to make you go “ooooo and ahhhh”.
For 2 weeks you’ll watch incredibly versatile artists that specialise in fun, colliding and energising art forms. Dance blends with live music and interactive storytelling; theatre becomes participatory; brass bands perform opera. Capital E has gathered artists from all over the world and New Zealand to bring truly surprising encounters for Wellington’s children and young people. Expect the unexpected! Hīkoi to parliament
Traffic heading into Wellington City has eased, however motorists should continue to expect significant delays in the city.
Hīkoi mō te Tiriti has reached Waitangi Park, with Police reporting no issues from this morning’s movements.
Another group of about 2000 people from the Hutt Valley began arriving at the Wellington Railway Station at around 8:30am.
The hīkoi is expected to begin their walk to Parliament along the Golden Mile (Courtenay Place, Manners Street, Willis Street and Lambton Quay) at 9am.
