Halloween in the Hutt - Trick or Treat Map/Participation
It's nearly that time of year and after last year's success I've decided to make the Halloween in the Hutt google map again to help those who create full Halloween home displays, homes that accept 'Trick or Treaters' in general, and/or organisations that host community based Halloween events make themselves known.
If you would like to participate in having your organisation or home on the map, please complete this form forms.gle...
This form is kept in confidence by your Lower Hutt community member Gemma Macmillan and is not shared publicly. Only your address and Halloween details will be made public when the google map goes live for community use. Important dates listed on the form.
Important information:
You will be contacted via email to confirm your participation closer to the date, after which the map is updated with locations and details relevant to Halloween. You will receive the link to the 'Halloween in the Hutt' google map shortly after.
On the 27th of October the map is shared publicly on the community social pages and Neighbourly (this is to account for the houses that have large displays) and is then made private again on the 1st November.
Looking forward to the spooks ahead and thanks in advance for participating!
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
-
84.4% Yes
-
14.1% No
-
1.5% Other - I'll share below
