Mother's Day Poem Number Five
Mother's Day Blessings to you all.
You can catch me reading some poetry and telling some light-hearted jokes on Radio Kidnappers today (Sunday) at 1:30 pm. (AM 10431 or FM 104.7 or go to their website and listen live)
I hope you have enjoyed the poems this week.
Here is today's one.
Bright Blessings on you all

My Mother Kept A Garden
My Mother kept a garden,
A garden of the heart.
She planted all the good things
That gave my life its start.
She turned me to the sunshine
And encouraged me to dream.
Fostering and nurturing
The seeds of self-esteem.
And when the winds and rain came,
She protected me enough.
But not too much because she knew
I'd need to stand up strong and tough.
Her constant good example
Always taught me right from wrong.
Markers for my pathway
That will last a lifetime long.
I am my Mother's garden.
I am her legacy.
And I hope today she feels the love – Reflected back at me.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
