Drivers warned to take extra care as surface flooding hits
Surface flooding is causing some issues on roads around Christchurch and Banks Peninsula as rain continues to fall.
Riverlaw Tce between Tennyson St and Wilsons Rd has been closed because of flooding while other roads around the Heathcote are being closely monitored.
One lane of Fitzgerald Ave, north of Kilmore St, has also been closed to traffic because of surface flooding.
On Banks Peninsula the State Highway is close to flooding at Cooptown and Little River.
