International Volunteer Day - Tuesday 5 December
International Volunteer Day (IV Day), a United Nations led initiative, is held
each year on 5 December.
Let’s use this day to celebrate and recognise New Zealand’s volunteers for the invaluable work they do in our communities, locally and globally.

- Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States
For us I'd like to recognise the many Volunteer Interviewers who staff three branches and two satellites in Christchurch. Hours and hours of time are given to helping others and commitments to continued training and development. Thank you, thank you, thank you
