Birkenhead Repair Cafe | Saturday 30th July

The Team from Highbury Community House Inc

Do you have small item that needs to be repaired?

A broken kettle, necklace or hem on your favourite dress is unraveled?

Bring them along to our Repair cafe;

Saturday 30th July | 9:00am-12:00pm

Onewa Christian Community at St Andrews Church.

172 Hinemoa Street | Birkenhead.

We have various volunteers who are donating their time to repair your items that you have been storing away not knowing what to do with them.

Accepted on the day will be small appliances, general repairs, jewelry & clothing.

There will be a children's activity, tea and coffee for that neighbourly chat and a talk on book repairing.

Nothing to repair? Pop in and have a look around, meet your local community.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Any clothing that you bring will need to be washed.

Please bring anything that you need fixed to your broken item, for example a new zip or new plug attachment.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
