We're on the hunt for caregivers! ✨
Support a young person to make positive changes in their life while living with you.
We are currently seeking individuals or couples based across Tāmaki Makaurau to become a Kia Puāwai caregiver in our specialised foster care programme. If you have the space in your home, time to invest in caring for a young person, and would like to help them learn and succeed – this is a hugely rewarding role.
In this role, you will:
-Care for a rangatahi aged 11-17 in your own home for approximately 12 months.
-Support rangatahi to attend school, engage in hobbies and activities, maintain a relationship with their whanau, and provide opportunities to learn life skills.
-Attend regular meetings and training to enhance your caregiving skills and receive feedback.
You will receive:
-Training and ongoing coaching in the specialist programme.
-Support by a multidisciplinary staffed team, including social workers and practice and cultural advisors.
-24/7 on-call support including weekly visits by your Practice Leader.
-Regular respite care cover so you can have a break each month.
-As an independent contractor, an attractive weekly allowance is paid as well as any agreed expenses reimbursed, for example, travel related to the young person in your care.

You can also head over to our website to check out their profiles, and register your interest early if there’s a particular cutie who catches your eye – this will speed things up on the day.
