Volunteers needed for hand stitching blankets for cold kids

Yolande from Mount Albert

Can anyone lend a hand on Thursday evenings to help hand sew our beautiful blankets that we give to local kids in need.

We meet every Thursday at the YMCA Mt Albert.
6.30 to 8.30pm

Mostly all hand stitching. No previous skills needed. We can teach you running stitch and blanket stitch. Come and sit with a lovely group of people, and make a difference to a child. We provide herbal tea and biscuits.

Call Yolande if you would like to register, or if you would like to give a donation instead. We have run out of funds to buy our next round of fabrics. Or donate fabric (long rolls of polar fleece, or velvet, or wool.....no small pieces of fabric needed)

Come on, we’d love to meet you, and the blankets are very special.
