Meadowbank Toastmasters - meeting Tuesday 15th December at 6.45pm for 7pm start

Barry Shaw from Meadowbank Toastmasters

What a great time of fun and learning we had on 1st December!
We welcomed 4 guests! They looked like they enjoyed themselves, even in the Table Topics session! Great to meet them. Come again!
:-)
One of our members received her completion certificate for Level 1 of Dynamic Leadership. Congratulations, again!
Three meeting awards were issued: Best Speaker, Best Evaluator and Best Table Topics Speaker. Congratulations to those three, as well.

Come along (for free entry - and free exit! - :-P ) and experience the fun of gaining confidence in speaking and leadership in a "safe learning environment where there is a supportive and positive group of people looking to help you learn and to learn themselves"!

Poll: Should employees be able to work from home?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

At the post-Cabinet press conference, the National Party asserted they want public sector staff to return to the office. This has opened a conversation about other sectors in New Zealand who have adopted working from home (WFH).

Where possible, do you think employees should be able to work from home? Vote below and share your thoughts in the comments.

Anxious? Mindfulness for Anxiety - Meadowbank

Eve from Eve Rudkin Mindfulness

You will have noticed that anxiety is natural for all creatures, and it is very important as a signal to help us navigate the world. But sometimes this signal can become like a smoke alarm that is stuck on.

Come and soothe body and mind with a small group for a gentle mindfulness session of ease and peace. The sessions develop the skill to meet our anxiety with care and compassion to loosen it up and find more courage in the face of our challenges.

Session includes gentle movement and relaxing simple meditation

Next one is on Monday 21 October 1.30 - 2.45pm, Meadowbank Community Centre. Come and see what it is like! Contact me - the first session free, then Koha welcome. 021 255 1485

Ongoing on the 3rd Monday of the month.
Click Read More to find out more about what I do - I also offer one-on-one mental wellbeing sessions and custom courses for group bookings.
