Pregnant woman held hostage in Auckland shopping centre
Update: A woman has escaped unharmed after being held in a hostage situation in an Auckland shopping mall.
Police said at 10am that the incident had been resolved. The man was in custody and the woman uninjured.

An Auckland shopping mall has been evacuated where a woman is reportedly being held hostage.
A police spokeswoman said they were attending an incident at Westfield Manukau City Shopping Centre.
One of the staff at a shop said they were evacuated at 9am and said a pregnant woman was being held hostage.
