Update - What price Development?

Yesterday the Government's Natural and Built Environment Bill passed its third reading. The new law requires councils to make rules in the District and Unitary Plans to protect trees on private land as well as on public land.
Was it coincident that Fletcher Living were in such a rush to destroy the Mature Natives on the Racecourse?
What a fifty-plus year old Totora tree looks like after being "looked after" by Fletcher Living for a day ...
