Does significant change take time?

Eve from Eve Rudkin Mindfulness

Hi Neighbours, does two months seem a long time?

Over that time the people who do my mindfulness courses report they get sustainable change which helps them manage stress in their lives.

As Hana said at the end of the course earlier this year: “It has been highly helpful to learn my own thought patterns that caused my stress.”

That sort of understanding doesn’t come from a quick read or talk about mindfulness. It comes from a significant 8-week project and the new habits embedded during that time.

I reckon two months is not much when you think of the effect of that change over a whole life!

Interested? I would be happy to have a chat with you or contact me to book for my upcoming Term 4 Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course, which already has a number of people signed up. It is held at Om Yoga Studio, Stonefields, Sunday afternoons

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
