Drive Safely over Summer
A friendly reminder to please drive safely over the summer break.
Yesterday, there was another horrific crash at the corner of Victoria and Church Street in Onehunga. One car reportedly flew through the air and landed on its side.
Thankfully everybody involved is safe, but this severe accident serves as a timely reminder for everyone to keep safe on our roads, particularly as road layouts change.
Construction of the roundabout resumes on December 26th. During this second phase of construction, the intersection will be fully closed. Detours will be in place, but access to properties will be maintained.
I think we can all agree the roundabout cannot come quick enough!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
