Beach Haven Wharf is open!

John Gillon from John Gillon - Kaipatiki Local Board

It's finally open! The brand new Beach Haven Recreational Wharf was signed off and opened to the public earlier this week! It's looking fantastic and the new pontoon was being well-used today to escape the Summer heat!
The project rebuilt the damaged parts of the wharf and piles, strengthened it and upgraded it to today's safety standards, while keeping the heritage style of the wharf and providing a new floating pontoon platform for fishing and diving.
Thanks to all of the council staff and contractors for their work on this project, especially navigating the complexities of heritage and coastal requirements, and thanks to the Beach Haven Placemaking Group and Larking Boat Steering Group members for their substantial input into the design.

- A Kaipatiki Local Board project, funded by the regional coastal budget.

Poll: Should drivers retake the theory test every 10 years?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Drivers get where they need to go, but sometimes it seems that we are all abiding by different road rules (for example, the varying ways drivers indicate around a roundabout).
Do you think drivers should be required to take a quick driving theory test every 10 years?

Vote in the poll and share any road rules that you've seen bent! 😱
