In the heart of the vibrant and multi-cultural Northcote Town Centre is the Kaipataki community’s long-established gallery, Northart. With just on 400 sq metres of contemporary exhibition space and an adjacent Studio for workshops, classes, seminars and related activities, it has become the focal point for those interested in the visual arts on the Shore. Open 10am to 4pm during exhibitions, the gallery provides an accessible and community focussed programme of shows by emerging and established, local and national artists, which changes out every three weeks.
