Stolen Kayak
My kayak was stolen from Charcoal Bay some time in the last two weeks. I had locked it to a tree near the beach for a while and I was about to take it back home for winter.
I have heard of a person seen running down Rosecamp Road early last week (Monday or Tuesday) carrying a kayak on his head. If you have any knowledge or seen anything, please private message me.
The kayak is a Mission Glide 420, yellow/green, with a rudder.
While being much fun for the kids the boat is also used to support charity ocean swimmers in the annual Westpac Chopper Swim from Waiheke to Auckland City (www.chopperswim.nz) so I’d very much like it back.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
