The Waimakariri District is a New Zealand ‘top three' growth area. As the third largest District by population in the South Island, it provides an exceptional range of rural and urban lifestyles.

The Waimakariri District Council is based in Rangiora and provides a wide range of facilities and services, employing over 300 staff at service points in Rangiora, Kaiapoi and Oxford to serve a community of almost 60,000 people.
