Opened in 1931, the historic St Heliers Community Library is located in the heart of St Heliers Bay Village and is a minute’s walk from lovely St Heliers Bay.
Our collection includes a great range of adult fiction and non-fiction books, Large Print and audio books, magazines, DVDs, Music CDs, and a Teen collection. We also have Chinese and Japanese collections.
Our wonderful children’s area has board-books for the littlies, picture-books and junior fiction, easy-readers, audio-books, children’s DVDs and music CDs, and non-fiction books. We hold Storytime for pre-schoolers three times a week, and Wriggle and Rhyme for babies once a week.
We offer free internet access with 10 public computers available for library members and visitors, and free Wi-fi inside the Library. Beginners Computer Lessons are available, and if you need help with the Auckland Libraries Digital Library the friendly St Heliers Library staff are happy to help.
