Tucked in beside Pyes Pa School, our Playcentre is situated in a lovely rural setting just 9 minutes’ drive from Barkes Corner. Our extensive outdoor area has recently been upgraded with a large new Wendy House, new sheds for equipment storage, and shade sails over the swings. The children are most often found outside, involving themselves in physically active or dramatic play, and the friendships they are continually making are great to see! The centre has recently been repainted, indoors and out, and the inside now feels bright, fresh and spacious. We enjoy a lot of baking with the kids, as well as art and craft, playdough, clay and books. We have regular trips out into the community, with recent ones being to the local fire station and Argos gym. Themed days are popular with all our families – from pirates and dinosaurs, to witches and wizards, bikes and scooters, and the Olympics! Our close relationship with the neighbouring school helps transition our children, so that ‘starting school’ isn’t quite as daunting for them. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, welcoming place for both adults and children, so come and be a part of our Playcentre community. It’s loads of fun!
