Four community groups benefit with the proceeds split between the Foxton Beach Community Patrol and the Foxton Horse Drawn Tram, the golf club being nice and full (with the bar takings that went with it) and the Foxton Te Awahou Lions Club, which organised the event, building on its already primo reputation for being community champions.

Just as well we have Hi Viz wet weather jackets as part of our uniform kit!
We kept it Hi Visibility but non-confrontational (as per our patrolling rules 😎), flew the colours, raised awareness and collected some money to go towards First Aid Training for a few of our volunteer patrollers.
Unfortunately we didn’t win any of the Fire Service raffles taking place opposite us 😢
THANK YOU! to participating Patrollers, to the Easter Fair Organising Committee and to those who stopped to chat and drop a few dollars into our collection buckets.

We found this little pink speedster in Beachfields subdivision - been there for a few days now.
Let us know who it belongs to and we can let them know where to collect it - after we’ve checked it’s WOFa and Rego ate up to date of course! 😎

In our first 2 months of patrolling we’ve had lots of positive feedback and quite a few thank yous from the public and wonder if any of you are keen to join us and build on that.
We’re just about to put the last of our previous intake’s volunteers on the street (to Community Patrol!).
The door and purse strings are therefore open for us to bring on board another 2 or 3 volunteers.
Vehicle patrolling in pairs, generally evening/night, is a great way to give something back to the community, become more familiar with the town and the colourful characters in it, as part of a structured, like-minded local patrol.
Although we are still bedding down the Foxton Beach operation, Foxton cover later this year is still very much in the plan so if you live there, want to patrol and don’t mind doing 3-6 months patrolling in Foxton Beach first then please don’t be shy!
Training, police check, uniform, ID badge, patrol vehicle and patrol partner 😎 are provided free of charge - in return you invest approx. 4 to 6 hours in study (to pass online theory training) and are prepared to patrol a minimum of 4 hours (2 patrols) per month.
Message Anthonie if you would like more information - another good place to get the low down on what we are all about is the Community Patrols of New Zealand Charitable Trust webpage: www.cpnz.org.nz...
