"We know the impacts from recent severe weather events but we also need to anticipate what future events may we have to grapple with" says Councillor Scott McKenzie.
“Some impacts of our changing climate are physical and obvious, and we are repairing, maintaining, and improving council-owned infrastructure as we work towards creating a more resilient District.”
We’re thinking deeply about how the district is going to be able to adapt to a changing climate and the strong consensus is that the plans must come from the grass roots, with collective buy in.
