Severe rain warning
MetService has issued a heavy rain warning lasting until 4pm today.
Area: Northland
Valid: 7 hours from 9:00am to 4:00pm Thursday
Forecast: Expect 60 to 80mm to accumulate. Peak intensities of 25 to 35mm/hr in localised downpours.
Changes: The Watch for heavy rain has now been upgraded to a Warning and the area has now been extended to include Great Barrier Island.
Drivers are advised to be cautious as conditions may be hazardous. Read more
