Ruakaka Dog Rescue Fun Family Fitness Fundraiser!

Michelle from Tikipunga

The weather is not looking flash for the weekend so the Ruakaka Dog Rescue family fitness fundraiser on Sunday September 8th, 10am to 12 noon at the Johnston Crawford Indoor Cricket Centre on Okara Drive, next to the stadium, is going to be an ideal indoors event to let the kids and adults burn off some energy. There are adult exercise sessions taking place alongside kids activities. There will be raffles, a sausage sizzle and fun competitions for the kids to enter, along with a heap of spot prizes for the big and little kids! Jump online to www.ruakakadogrescue.com... and book a space in either the kids or adult category using the online registration form, all while supporting an amazing cause! Look forward to seeing you there.

Please note that on this occasion this is an event for humans only and not for our four legged friends.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
