GREEN PRESCRIPTION
SPORT NORTHLAND are backing the Green Prescription prescribed by doctors and other health workers. However, they cannot supply the necessary shoes and clothes that would be appropriate for sports activity, so they are welcoming any donations of sports shoes in good condition and all sizes, plus clothing again in all sizes and to suit all ages. Must be clean and useable. This is a really good cause so lets all support our Northland community and improve our general good health by donating to Sport Northland. They are at the northern end of Sports Ground - 93, Western Hills Drive - phone: 0800 228 483. Large quantities of donations can be collected.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
