Excellent such a good successful week.
I have been quietly lobbying for about a month, between the council and Northland rugby over the accessibility of one of their wheelchair ramps.
Many thanks to Julie from Northland Rugby and Claire Wilson from WDC for their support.
I have just received confirmation that the law of common sense has prevailed, the ramp which is currently not wheelchair accessible will be wheelchair accessible by mid-April.
My lobbying with the council is just having success after success, I also have news on the Riverside Drive crossing good news but am not able to share it yet.
This week has been hugely successful. and to top it off our charity Children with Disability NZ has reached our first fundraising goal of $10,000 to put towards a Wheelchair swing at Waipu Activity Zone

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
