A VERY SPECIAL Event for New Zealand....
This is a SHOUT OUT to put a circle around Sunday 27th October. On this day a Dawn Blessing & Opening Ceremony will take place on the kainga alongside Kororipo Pā to honour our past and herald the beginning of Tūhono Kerikeri bicentennial celebrations - 200 years!
Everyone is welcome to come along and experience being part of this wonderful 'once in a lifetime' cultural and historical dawn ceremony.
Venue: Kororipo Heritage Park (Kerikeri Basin)
5.00am: Gather in the carpark at the bottom of Kerikeri Road
5.30am: Together we will walk the track up onto the kainga of Kororipo Pā
6.00am: Dawn Blessing
10.00pm: Official Opening

And, on October 23rd (a couple of days before the Celebrations begin) we are publishing a SPECIAL Publication that tells stories from our past and stories of our future. This will be inserted into The Bay Chronicle (Kerikeri) and Northern News (Far North). If you would like a copy - Let me know before October 10th.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
