We'd love to housemind by the sea at Christmas-New Year

Robert from Kamo

Because my mum (86yrs in 3 weeks)cannot travel big distance now, we choose to have our holidays close by with her in Northland or Auckland. We get 2 weeks off work starting from Christmas Day, I think....boss hasn't decided dates yet- and we'd love to live by the sea for 1 - 2 weeks! We could mind a home with animals etc. We choose the seaside because my mum was reared there and has lived on a farm since she was married so we want a seaside experience! She hasn't lived there since 1956. Does anyone know of any possibility that might be available? We can provide verbal references from neighbours & friends and because we are Christians, we can guarantee the home owner who trusts us will not be disappointed!

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
