ACC Whangarei

Glen from Central Whangarei

1970 at 10 years old I was told I would never walk again and tied to the bed to prevent me from getting up and falling on the floor which is what ACC still view me as.
ACC has gone back to this 1970 accident to discriminate and deny my equipment request.
In the early 70s in hospital, I kept escaping the bonds I kept getting off the bed I kept falling over.

But wait there's more I walked I ran I rode bike motorbikes, off-roaders I could not be slowed I have driven in a motorsport event a V 12 Ferrari at 180 mph that's 300 kph and ACC thinks I am just a cripple.

I qualified as an appliance serviceman, an industrial wireman, NZCE TV and video service person I owned and ran one of the biggest telephone repair businesses in Auckland in the 1980s.

I have been in the paper's magazines TVNZ success program, I am not going to accept ACCs vision that I have lived as a house ridden cripple they ACC have a battle ahead of them I know Google I am an SEO experts so we will match ACC and get on the front page of Google for decades to come.

What should the rules be for alcohol in public?

The Team from Whangarei District Council

We have some proposed amendments to the Alcohol Control Bylaw, and we want to know what you think:
🍷 Have your say on the Alcohol Control Bylaw

The bylaw allows us to ban alcohol completely from specific locations, during certain times of the day, or during certain times of the year. The bans need to reflect the times and places where alcohol causes problems, and can be enforced by police. Only public places are affected by these rules, not homes or licensed premises.

In the new proposal, the city centre alcohol ban would be expanded to include the carparks at Okara Shopping Centre, Cobham Oval and under Te Matau a Pohe bridge. An alcohol ban would also be introduced at Tarewa Park.

We also propose to lift the existing blanket coastal ban that applies to public places within 300m of the mean low tide mark, and narrow the alcohol bans at Oakura, Whananaki North, Whananaki South, Matapōuri/Whale Bay and Pataua North and South - changing the ban from 24 hours a day to just at night time (between 7:00pm and 7:00am).

We appreciate your input to choose appropriate new rules!
