The Jonsson Gang
Sweden, 2021, Comedy with English subtitles
Run time: 115 mins, Rated PG
Director: Tomas Alfredson
Following a failed heist, Charles ‘Sickan’ Jonsson ends up in prison. When he's finally released, Sickan has his next robbery all planned but it comes to nothing as his former gang have all become law-abiding citizens.
Sickan turns to a local crime broker, who tasks him with a simple burglary. This is what gives Sickan his greatest idea ever - stealing Finland's Royal Crown from Sweden's richest man.
But to stage the crime of the century, Sickan will need to bring his former team back together.
Evoking memories of the Coen brothers and Amelie, this Swedish crime-comedy is filled with quirky characters, memorable set-pieces and a rich vein of black humour. - Stuff NZ
