The Book Club

Roger Hall's romantic comedy 'The Book Club' was updated for The Pumphouse Theatre in May 2018 and played to a sell out season and is now coming to the Centrestage Theatre in Orewa!.

Starring Jodie Dorday (Billy Elliot, Westside) and directed by Janice Finn, this popular one-woman play is something special.

When: Sunday 7 Oct - 4:00pm, Wednesday 10 Oct - 7:30pm and Thursday 11 Oct - 2pm
Where: Centrestage Theatre Orewa

Self-confessed book-a-holic Deb, looks for a diversion when the last of her children leaves home and her husband is busy with work and sport. When she joins a book club full of strongly opinionated women and then invites a local author to talk to the group about his latest offering, all hell breaks loose! Get your tickets here!

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
