Kia Ora Whanau
So we're one week away from the day everyone is waiting to celebrate. And it can become quite overwhelming and stressful at times - fighting for those parking spaces, clamoring for the gifts, bustling through the supermarket, gymnastic type acrobatics to get those decorations and lights hung. So right now I'd like to give a huge shout out of appreciation to all of those people who are dedicated to serving us in those shops - where many only have one or two days off. Being there to make sure we can get all the last minute things we've forgotten, to get the gas that lets us travel to see loved ones - all the little things that are sometimes taken for granted, and at times these very people are dealing with other people unloading their own stress upon them. Just for a minute take the time to thank those who are giving their time and energy to serve other people - maybe even surprise them with a gift or card of appreciation for all that they do. Also, please remember the little fuzzy fury creatures over the holidays - especially if you are going away. Animals still need food and water and love, so if you can't be there then ask someone else to watch them while you're away. And lastly - please take it easy on the roads out there - a lot more patience can make all the difference. Happy holidays - sunshine and lollipops 2Ya'll :)

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
