Two cases of measles have been confirmed in the Bay of Plenty and Lakes district. But they are not linked to the outbreak in the Waikato. Medical Officer of Health Dr Phil Shoemack says one case was notified on Thursday, the other 10 days ago. Read more

Bev and John’s summer motorhome adventures
Bev and John are no strangers to adventure. Whether it’s overseas escapades to the Great Wall of China, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, or exploring New Zealand’s stunning landscapes, this intrepid couple has seen their fair share of the world. But these days, they prefer to keep their travel plans closer to home - with their beloved Cavoodle, Skye, always in tow.

Travel to Wellington
Hi there , I’m wondering if anyone is driving to Wellington from Whakatane on Monday 17th Feb, and is interested in a paying passenger as company for the trip. I’m a mature and engaging male picking up my motorcycle to ride back to Whakatane a couple of days later . Many thanks ..Jeff G
