Creative Communities Scheme Whakatāne 2019/20 - your chance to apply for a share of $18,000 in arts funding. What are the categories?

▶️ Access and Participation: Your project will create opportunities for local communities to engage with and participate in the arts.

▶️ Diversity: Your project will support the diverse arts and cultural traditions of local communities, enriching and promoting their uniqueness and cultural diversity.

▶️ Young People: Your project will enable and encourage young people (under 18 years) to engage with and actively participate in the arts.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
